Cervical cancer remains a major health concern for women in Ghana, but experts say it can be prevented through vaccination.
For the first time, the country is launching a nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign aimed at protecting adolescent girls from the virus that causes cervical cancer.
In the Ashanti Region alone, over 400,000 girls aged 9 to 14 are expected to receive the vaccine as part of this historic rollout.
Health authorities say the campaign marks a critical step toward eliminating cervical cancer and safeguarding the future of young women in Ghana.
