The growing cases of mpox infections in the subregion is growing at an alarming rate, hence the need to discuss it signs, symptoms and how to avoid not getting infected.
Mpox formerly Monkey Pox, is a viral disease that causes fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, and a distinctive rash that can spread across the body. It’s similar to smallpox but generally less severe.
The virus spreads through close contact with an infected person’s rash, body fluids, or respiratory droplets. It can also spread through contaminated bedding or clothing.
