Togolese Minister of Economy and Finance, Sani Yaya and the Director of Operations of the World Bank for Togo, Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea, Coralie Gevers have signed a financing agreement of $ 120 million (approximately FCFA 68 billion) to support the Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey regional economic corridor project.

The signing ceremony of the agreement was chaired by the President Faure Gnassingbé, after an interview with Ousmane Diagana, Vice-President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa. Togo now joins Niger and Burkina Faso to receive World Bank support for the economic corridor project expected to improve connectivity and promote regional integration in line with the Togos ambition to position itself as the main regional logistics hub.
