The World Health Organization WHO team of 10 are today, Wednesday arriving the Chinese city of Wuhan, where cases of the coronavirus infections were first reported in December 2019.
The team consist of scientists from 10 different countries.
The scientists visit to the Wuhan virology institute followed an earlier visit Tuesday to hospitals and the seafood market where the infection was first reported.
According to their work plan, the scientists will visit the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the national biosafety laboratory to conduct exchanges with experts of the institute.
As part of arrangements, the team will share their daily work, international scientific cooperation, and anti-epidemic efforts and contribution.
WHO spokesperson Margaret Harris in an exclusive interview with CGTN said the field trip is not about finding someone to blame, but the discovery of a wide variety of subjects related to the origins of COVID-19.
