Seven West African member States of the Accra Initiative are dissatisfied with the EU's response to their joint appeal for accelerated partnership.

 According to Beninese diplomatic sources, several West African states are preparing to launch a new regional anti-terrorist operation called "Koudanlgou". It will be the 5th of its kind, based on consultation between Lomé and Cotonou.
