Opposition leader Ousman Sonko has been found guilty of defamation against Minister Mame Mbaye Niang by a Dakar court. Sonko, who leads the Pastef party, was tried in absentia and has been ordered to pay a fine of 200 million CFA francs as damages. He was accused of defaming and publicly insulting the Minister of Tourism.
