Guinea's military junta say they seized power to end years of bad governance characterized by corruption.

Hours after the military seized power, people jubilated on the streets in some parts of the country.

However, it is not exactly clear what triggered this latest coup, the third, since the independence of Guinea in 1957.

Journalist Bram Posthumous who resided in Guinea for many years and wrote a book about the country, titled -Guinea: Masks, Music and Minerals, speaks to WADR about the military overthrow.
