Three Western countries have issued alert to their citizens living in Nigeria ahead of the August nationwide protest.

The United States, United Kingdom, and Canada all warned of potential violence during the planned demonstration tagged hashtag EndBad Governance.

Messages contained in three separate travel advisories, urged the foreign nationals to avoid areas where confrontations between security agencies and protesters are very likely to occur.
