Across the world, May 1 is celebrated as workers’ Day.

This is a day to celebrate workers and their efforts at not just contributing to the development of their countries but appreciating their service to helping make life comfortable.

But in Nigeria, labour unions have bemoaned the living conditions of workers, especially in the public sector.

The Unions converged on the Eagle Square in the capital city, Abuja to demand better remuneration for workers in commemoration of this year’s International Workers Day.

WADR’S Fatimah Ibrahim in Abuja reports.
