Tunisian and Moroccan Armed Forces conduct joint training in Ghana

The United States Special Operations Command in Africa announce that, joint patrols and simulated ambushes were carried out by the armed forces of Tunisia and Morocco during the Flintlock23 exercise in Daboya, the capital of North Gonja district in the Savannah region of the country.

In a tweet, the Command stated that it is dedicated to supporting its partners in the fight against violent extremism and other malicious actors by bolstering their security.

The tweet also announced that the Flintlock 2023 exercise will take place in Ghana and Ivory Coast from March 1-15, 2023, and will involve around 1,300 military personnel from 30 countries.

According to the statement, the goal of the exercise is to increase the capacity of important partners in the region to collaborate across borders and combat violent extremist groups, while also safeguarding civilians, upholding human rights, and building civilian confidence.
