At this year’s International Labor Day event in Abuja, the Trade Union Congress (TUC) of Nigeria called for stronger global worker solidarity and decried rising global instability driven by greed and unchecked capitalism.
TUC President Festus Osifo warned that the current world order is marked by wars and systemic injustice, undermining peace and sustainable development.
He also voiced support for the people of Western Sahara, urging international actors to address long-standing issues of occupation and marginalization.
The TUC’s message struck a chord with labor groups and activists, highlighting the urgent need for fairness and equity in global affairs.
