A hearing on the case against Lieutenant-Colonel Emmanuel Zoungrana commenced on Wednesday at a military court in Burkina Faso's capital Ouagadougou. 

Lt. Colonel Zoungrana, a serving soldier in the Burkinabe army is being tried on offences bordering on offences against state security and money laundering.
