The Togolese government has announced the date for the commencement of the electoral census ahead of the regional and legislative elections in the country.

The exercise would allow the establishment of a database and electoral file for the state of Togo.

The decision was reached by the weekly council of ministers chaired by President Faure Gnassingbé.
