Togo’s President Faure Gnassingbé has called for stronger, coordinated efforts to end the ongoing conflicts affecting communities around the Benin region. He made the appeal while participating in an international conference jointly organized by Paris and Lomé.
Serving as the African Union’s mediator in the Democratic Republic of Congo, President Gnassingbé continues to play a central role in regional peacebuilding.
His intervention comes at a time when the DRC faces persistent tensions and a worsening humanitarian crisis, underscoring the urgency of renewed international collaboration.
The conference highlighted the need for sustained dialogue, cross-border cooperation, and unified diplomatic engagement to stabilize the region.
