Togo is set for significant governance reforms in early 2025, including the establishment of a Senate, President Faure Gnassingbe has announced. These changes will coincide with the full implementation of the 2024 constitution, voted into effect last year.
In his New Year’s message, President Gnassingbe also highlighted plans to enhance security and introduce economic measures aimed at mitigating global shocks. These reforms signal a pivotal year for Togo’s political and institutional development.
