Togo received donations comprising six brand ambulances and medical equipment from the Republic of Korea.
The donation, worth 284 million CFA Francs or 456,000 US dollars marked the 60th-anniversary of bilateral relations between the two States.
Receiving the items, The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and Togolese Abroad, Afo Salifou, said the equipment will strengthen the capacity of the hospitals to respond to emergencies across the country.
For his part, The Korean Ambassador Lim Jung-Taek, also commented on the initiative, noting that the ambulances, equipped with the latest medical technologies, would help reach patients faster and treat them more effectively in every region of Togo.
Jung-Taek stated that the gesture further reflects the importance of international relations and cooperation in solving global problems and improving the lives of communities around the world.
