Togolese president, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, has launched the first Infra for Africa forum coupled with the Africa50 General Assembly of Shareholders, as it officially opens on Monday, in the capital Lomé.
For two days, nearly a hundred participants will work on concrete solutions to address the continent’s infrastructure needs.
In his opening speech, the Togolese Head of State expressed gratitude for choosing the capital to host the event while urging profitable” collaboration between the public and private sectors, in order to develop the continent.
The opening ceremony was also marked by the signing of an agreement between the government and Africa50 on asset recycling.
Many other agreements are also expected to be reached as the meeting progresses to the end.
