In Burkina Faso, the Thomas Sankara trial that was put on hold for two days at the request of the parties due to suspension of the constitution resumed on Wednesday.

Its reinstatement has now allowed for the reopening of the proceedings.

In the dock, 12 defendants were prosecuted for the assassination of Sankara and a dozen other people.
