Human rights defenders and business leaders in The Gambia have convened to discuss the United Nations Guiding Principles (UNGPs) on Business and Human Rights.

The two-day forum, organized by the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) in collaboration with the National Human Rights Commission and supported by the European Union, seeks to promote awareness and understanding of these principles.

Stakeholders aim to foster greater accountability and ensure that businesses respect human rights while contributing to sustainable development.
