As countries around the world commemorate the International Day against Drug Abuse, Illicit Drug Trafficking and Related Crimes 2022, Gambian authorities are concerned about the growing trend of foreign nationals being involved in drug abuse and trafficking in the country.
The Gambia has registered about 1,600 drug cases involving more than 1000 accused persons since 2020.
