In this edition, we will be engaging in another interesting conversation that is of concern to every one of us.
Our discussion will be on the Dangers of Excessive Sugar consumption.
Or you can say the sweet danger of sugar.
Many drinks, sauces, and breakfast foods contain more sugar than you might realize. Reading product labels can be a helpful first step to lowering your added sugar intake. You can also limit added sugars by choosing whole foods and full-fat foods over processed and low-fat versions.
In fact, added sugar, which is the sugar found in sodas, sweets, and other processed foods, has been shown to contribute to obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and tooth decay.
Our guest, Dr. Abdullahi Alhaji Mohammed, Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist with FMC Abuja, will be telling us more about the dangers behind the sweet taste of sugar.
