A capitalization workshop, by Terra Africa project on solution-based journalism on the environment was held over the weekend in Dakar, the Senegalese capital.
The CFI joint project particularly trained at least forty journalists in five West African countries on how environmental journalism, the promotion of gender equality and other innovative approaches can be used as strategic levers to respond to the complex challenges of climate change.
In recent times, states have faced food insecurity, depletion of natural resources, increased housing and health crises, as well as forced migration among others.
The roundtable was also designed to promote the project’s results and provide a framework for broadening reflection on the many dimensions of climate change in Africa.
