Former Liberian rebel commander standing trial in Switzerland over alleged atrocities committed during Liberia’s first civil war will be cross examined by lawyers of the plaintiff today.
45 year old, Alieu Kosiah, is accused of murder, rape, recruiting child soldiers and a host of other crimes. The former rebel commander, who fled to Switzerland before being arrested there in 2014, denies the charges.
Last week, 6 of the 7 persons accusing Kosiah of atrocities gave testimony with one more witness expected to testify on Tuesday.
Liberian journalist Anthony Stephens, who is covering the proceedings, has been telling my colleague Atiewin Mbillah-Lawson about what to expect today, during Kosiah’s cross examination.
