Campaigning for Tonkolili Constituency was suspended over the weekend to allow the cooling of tensions in a hotly-contested parliamentary tie-breaker vacancy in Sierra Leone.

Coordinated by the Office of National Security, a delegation from the Electoral Commission, the Political Parties Registration Commission, the Military and Police arrived in Sambaia Bendugu where violence, assault and arson have been reported.
