The Minister of Technical and Higher Education, Prof. Alpha Tejan Wurie has officially launched a needs assessment study on higher education institutions in Sierra Leone.
The assessment, which was conducted by the Tertiary Education Commission {TEC}, captured all public and private universities, polytechnics and teacher training colleges.
It identified and catalogued major gaps in the availability of services and delivery in higher education institutions, which have resulted in decline in quality of education.
