Sierra Leonean authorities have conducted a mass burial of people killed in last Friday’s petrol tanker explosion in the east of the capital Freetown.
At least 115 people have now been confirmed dead in the inferno while dozens of others are still receiving treatment at various hospitals in the city for various degrees of injuries sustained.
The government has appealed for external medical support as the World Health Organisation has airlifted medical supplies to the country to assist with the medical response to the disaster.
