Senegal’s National Autonomous Electoral Commission, CENA, has announced the provisional results of Sunday's legislative elections.
In the results published by CENA Thursday, the presidential coalition Benno Bokk Yakaar (BBY) obtained 82 seats in the parliament, while the opposition coalitions Yewwi Askan Wi led by the opposition leader Ousmane Sonko, and Wallu Senegal, of former president Abdoulaye Wade, won 56 and 24 seats respectively.
The opposition coalitions all together secured 80 seats.
But is this enough majority as they had wanted?
