A recent Afrobarometer survey has found that a significant number of Senegalese citizens are increasingly worried about their personal safety and are contemplating emigration in search of better opportunities.
The findings reveal a dual sentiment—while many Senegalese express a strong desire to leave the country due to economic or security concerns, there is also a notable level of unease and resentment towards foreign migrants residing in Senegal.
The results highlight rising internal anxieties and shifting public attitudes amid the country’s evolving political and socio-economic landscape.
