In Senegal, the Noo Lànk Collective has renewed its criticism of the country’s rising cost of living.
In a statement released Tuesday, the civic group condemned the government’s decision to reinstate the mobile phone tax, describing it as an additional burden on already struggling households.
The collective is calling on authorities to take urgent measures to ease financial pressures on citizens and to address what it describes as an alarming economic situation.
Seydina Mouhamadou Malal Diallo, secretary of Noo Lànk, said the movement will continue to press for concrete action to relieve the population.
