Farmers in the Foni Region of The Gambia are voicing deep concerns as ongoing conflict between Senegalese soldiers and MFDC rebels in Casamance over the past years significantly impacts their lives.

The tension, which has lessened over recent months, has caused severe disruptions in the border villages.

These farmers are struggling with restricted access to their fields in the Senegalese part of their villages due to the conflict.
