An explosion has rocked the Trans-Niger pipeline in the Bodo community, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, a key oil-producing region in Nigeria.
According to residents, the blast occurred Tuesday morning on the onshore pipeline near the starting point of the Bodo-Bonny road.
Authorities have yet to confirm the cause of the explosion, but concerns are growing over its environmental and economic impact.
