An umbrella body for women in the northern Nigeria, staged a protest on Wednesday, to call for urgent action to halt the rising spate of insecurity in the country, particularly in the north.
The group called Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa say they have nowhere left to run to for safety.
The say lamented that the Boko Haram insurgency has made many women in the north widows over the years while the increasing killing of people of Northern origin in the South East and South west are adding to the dark clouds of terror and death.
