The M62 social movement in Niger has expressed strong support for Mali following its recent diplomatic clash with Algeria over a drone incident.
At a press conference on Tuesday, M62 commended the Malian authorities for defending national sovereignty and called for unity among Sahel nations.
The group urged both countries to prioritize dialogue and preserve the longstanding solidarity that binds them.
Their statement comes amid growing tension between Algeria and the AES bloc, of which Niger and Mali are key members.
