All Progressives Congress, APC is underway in the nation’s capital Abuja.

Over two thousand three hundred party delegates are gathered at the venue, to decide through their votes, who becomes the party’s presidential flagbearer in the 2023 general elections.

The run-up to the special convention had been marred by conspiracies over the zoning of the presidential ticket and consensus candidacy, as there were conflicting opinions as to where the party's candidate should be picked from.

Although 28 presidential hopefuls had picked the nomination forms, five of them later pulled out.

Twenty-three aspirants including the serving president professor Yemi Osinbajo will appear before the APC presidential screening committee led by the party’s former chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.

The special convention is billed to run till Wednesday.
