Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, addressed the 77th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Speaking on climate change, the Russian Invasion of Ukraine and the need for credible elections, the president called on world leaders to remain committed to ensuring sustainable development.
He told the 77th session that next year, there would be a new face speaking for Nigeria from the podium of the Assembly Hall as he reiterated his commitment to constitutional term limits.
He further pledged Nigeria’s commitment to promote the rule of law and democracy in West Africa, citing the country’s support to The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, and Chad during their political impasse
