Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Samuel Kanu 

Uche who was abducted by unknown gunmen last Sunday in Eastern part of the country and was later released on Monday by his abductors say a ransome of one hundred million Naira was paid to the kidnappers by the church to secure his release and two other abductees. 

The clergy revealed this late Monday during a news conference.
