Nigeria’s House advances bill setting 60-year age limit for candidates

Nigeria’s House of Representatives has passed for second reading a bill barring candidates above 60 from contesting for president or governor.

If enacted, it would disqualify current and past leaders, including President Tinubu and opposition figures.

The bill also mandates a university degree for presidential aspirants.
