The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria has acknowledged the challenges it faced in conducting the 2023 general elections.

Despite these difficulties, INEC claims, it deserves commendation for the successes achieved during the poll, stating that the era of single-party dominance in national politics is likely over.

INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu made the remarks during a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners to begin the review process for the 2023 election.
