Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rise with 1,424 new infections, highest in six months

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed the highest number of Covid-19 cases per day in six months when it recorded 1,424 cases of the disease on Wednesday. 

The latest statistics from 15 States including the nation's capital, Abuja, shoots the country's tally to 220,020. 

WADR's Usman Umar in Abuja reports that a new report by the NCDC also indicates that 80 persons have died from Lassa Fever infection between January and 10th December 2021.
