The West Africa Trade and Investment hub has pledged 1.4 billion dollars to boost Nigeria’s agricultural industry.

The USAID-funded project will improve specialized fertilizer production in the country in order to help farmers grow crops on a commercial scale and support food security.

As Fatimah Ibrahim reports, twenty-five thousand farmers are to benefit from the project while at least four thousand new jobs are expected to be created.
