Women groups across Nigeria are poised for a nationwide protest today because lawmakers failed to reconsider decisions made against bills for gender equality and other opportunities for women.  

The women called on the First Lady, Female Deputy Governors and other stakeholders to be sympathetic to the cause of the gender bills to join the protests to drive home their demand.
