The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has resumed its protest in the nation's capital Abuja, over the lingering industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

NANS President, Sunday Asefon, confirmed that student leaders at all levels have been directed to shut down the streets, highways and other public facilities in the nation’s capital with a view to demanding an end to the lingering strike.

This is sequel to the ultimatum issued to the Nigerian Government and ASUU to find a lasting solution to their face-off on or before March 28, 2022.

WADR’s Correspondent Fatimah Ibrahim reports from Abuja.
