Leadership of the Nigerian army has assured of its readiness to support all the relevant security agencies and other authorities in ensuring that the forthcoming general elections are conducted in a free and fair atmosphere.

The General Officer Commanding  8 Division, Nigerian Army Headquarters in Sokoto, North West of the country, Major General Godwin Mutkut, stated this at 2022 West African Social Activities (WASA) celebration in Giginya Barracks, Sokoto State.
