The Academic Staff Union of Universities in Nigeria has resolved to embark on one-month warning strike to compel the Nigerian government to accede its requests.
President of the union, Emmanuel Osodeke, announced this at a press conference on Monday after a two-day meeting of the union’s National Executive Council.
The union says the government has failed to meet an agreement it signed since 2009, hence the decision to embark on a four-week total and comprehensive strike action.
