A civil society organization, Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has threatened to sue governors of Northern states in the country’s parliament if the social media bill is passed.
SERAP said this in a tweet on Tuesday while reacting to the call by the northern governors for more social media regulations in the wake of the #EndSARS protests.
In the tweet SERAP noted that Nigerians have a right to freedom of expression online.
WADR spoke with Kolawole Oluwadare, Deputy Director SERAP.
