Nigeria's electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says over two million Nigerians have registered online to get their Permanent Voters Cards since the launch of the portal on June 28, 2021.

At a weekly briefing by the Commission to give update on the online registration, the Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu says he's glad, the attacks on the commission's facilities have subsided as the commission prepares for an off season governorship election in Anambra State, South Easter Nigeria.
