President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Nigerians to give the military more time and support to fight insecurity in the nation.

He made the plea in a message to the nation on Thursday, the eve of Christmas.

He said the military and other security agencies need more time, cooperation, and support as he urged citizens to volunteer credible intelligence on activities of armed bandits, insurgents, and other criminal elements within their communities in order to put an end to insecurity.
