The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has announced plans for a nationwide strike starting March 1, 2025, in protest against a 50% increase in telecom tariffs.
This comes despite a government directive to delay the hike for two weeks pending a joint review.
The NLC insists the federal government must compel telecom operators to revert to previous rates or face a total economic shutdown.
