Nigeria’s Association of Women Entrepreneurs has decried the neglect of contraceptives among Nigerian women living in internally displaced camps and in conflict situations.

Currently, the Northern part of the country is experiencing an upsurge of insurgency attacks with thousands fleeing their homes. Speaking to Premium times, President of the association, Vera Ndanusa said women, especially those in rural communities, give birth to children almost every year because they lack access to modern contraceptives.
