Nigeria’s anti-corruption agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has launched an extradition process for the former Minister of Petroleum Resources from the UK.
If extradited, Diezani Alison-Madueke will face 13-count charges bordering on money laundering levelled against her by the anti-graft agency.
Already, the EFCC has obtained an arrest warrant against Alison-Madueke which it says covers jurisdictions in Dubai – the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Nigeria.
WADR’s Usman Umar in Abuja completes the story.
